Feature request Awaiting release

Differentiate running apps without windows

Gábor opened

A small enhancement idea for the app icons, again, I'm not sure if it's possible: it would be nice to see if an app is running (without windows), or it is not running at all.

Use case: I like to keep Slack/Teams closed, because I can still see the badge indicator if I got a message. But I cannot be sure if the app is actually running, if there is no badge.

How does this differ from what the Dock offers already? Are you hiding the Dock, or using Mac Taskbar as a add-on to the Dock?

Gábor

I have the Dock hidden, and not really using a lot.
Yes, it would be similar to the Dock showing a dot for the apps which are running (even if in the background only and without windows).

Ok, I understand. Sounds like something worth adding. We will look into this :-)

A dot is added, can be disabled in the settings. Coming in the next release.
