Show applications' recent items in context menu

I'm not sure if this is possible, but it would be really nice and help a lot if I could open recently used items from the app icon's (or window's) context menu. (This is what keeps me still using the dock occasionally, otherwise the taskbar almost completely replaced my dock.)

Use case: I have several Obsidian vaults, or open VSCode with various folders. These appear in the dock's app context menu, so that I can launch the app straight with the selected folder.
Currently I can only launch the basic app from the taskbar's app icon, then open the folder (or it opens with the most recent one, which might not be what I'm looking for).

Thanks for the suggestion. I think the feature would be nice. We will definitely look into this!
